📖 Exam Preparation Notes

Overview

The Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT), Allahabad (Department of Financial Services) invites applications on deputation from officers of Central/State Governments, Courts and Tribunals for multiple Group B and Group C posts (Section Officer, Private Secretary, Assistant, Account Assistant, Stenographer Grade I, Upper Division Clerk) to be posted across Allahabad, Lucknow, Dehradun, Jabalpur, Patna and Ranchi. Vacancies are offered on deputation initially for up to three years (extendable as per norms); the closing date for receipt of applications is 28.12.2026 (as stated in the notification).

Eligibility (as per the official notification)

Applicants must be officers of the Central/State Government or Courts/Tribunals holding analogous posts on a regular basis or possessing the specified years of regular service in the indicated pay levels/grades (eligibility conditions vary by post); maximum age of the applicant should not exceed 56 years on the closing date. (See notification for post-wise pay-level and service-year requirements.)

Preparation Strategy

  • Confirm post-wise eligibility: check your current pay level/grade and years of regular service against the post applied for (notification lists Level-7, Level-6, Level-4 etc.).
  • Collect and get attested copies of APARs for the last five years and the forwarding/certification (Annexure-II) from your parent office (vigilance clearance required).
  • Ensure the parent office issues the ‘no objection’/relieving certificate and that you can be spared immediately if selected (the notification requires immediate releasability).
  • Fill Annexure-I carefully with service particulars, revised pay (7th CPC) and nature of duties; attach supporting documents to avoid return of application.
