1. Preliminary Exam: General Studies Paper 1: Current Affairs: Focus on national and international events, awards, honors, and significant political, economic, sports, and cultural issues. Indian History: Cover Ancient India (Vedic period, Mauryan Empire), Medieval India (Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire), and Modern India (Freedom struggle, post-independence era). Geography: Study physical geography (landforms, climate, vegetation), human geography (population, settlements), and Indian geography (features, rivers, states). Indian Polity: Understand the Constitution (Preamble, fundamental rights, DPSP), and governance structures (President, Prime Minister, Parliament, Judiciary, State Legislature). Economic and Social Development: Learn basic economic concepts (GDP, inflation), social issues (education, health), and developmental programs. Environmental Ecology: Principles of ecology (ecosystems, biodiversity) and environmental issues (pollution, climate change). General Studies Paper 2 (CSAT): Comprehension: Reading passages and text analysis. Interpersonal Skills: Communication, decision-making, and problem-solving. Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability: Patterns, logical deductions, and data interpretation (graphs, tables). Basic Numeracy: Arithmetic operations, interest calculations, ratios, proportions, percentages. 2. Main Exam: General Studies Paper 1: Indian History and Culture: Detailed study of history, cultural heritage, art, architecture, and literature. Indian Geography and Environmental Studies: Physical features, climate, human geography, and environmental management. General Studies Paper 2: Indian Polity and Governance: Constitutional framework, state and national governance, public administration. Economic and Social Development: Economic policies, social justice, welfare programs. General Studies Paper 3: Science and Technology: Recent advancements, technology applications, space research. Internal Security: National security issues, internal security management, disaster preparedness. General Studies Paper 4: Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude: Public administration ethics, integrity, accountability, and decision-making. Optional Subject Papers: Choose an optional subject (e.g., Geography, History) and study its detailed syllabus. 3. Interview (Personality Test): Assess personality, communication skills, and suitability for administrative roles.
