Exam Syllabus

1. General Knowledge and Current Affairs This section tests candidates' awareness of national and international events, history, geography, culture, and socio-economic developments. Questions may also cover current affairs, including political, economic, and environmental issues. 2. Quantitative Aptitude This area assesses candidates' ability to solve mathematical problems. Topics usually include: Arithmetic: Percentages, averages, ratios and proportions, time and work, time and distance, etc. Algebra: Basic algebraic identities, linear equations, quadratic equations, etc. Geometry: Basic concepts of lines, angles, triangles, circles, etc. Data Interpretation: Tables, graphs, charts, and data analysis. 3. English Language This section evaluates candidates’ proficiency in English. Topics covered may include: Grammar: Error spotting, sentence correction, parts of speech, etc. Vocabulary: Synonyms, antonyms, word meanings, idioms and phrases. Comprehension: Reading passages followed by questions to assess understanding and inference skills. 4. Technical Knowledge Electrical Machines Power Electronics Power Systems Control Systems Electrical Measurements and Instrumentation Electrical Circuits and Networks Candidates are expected to have a solid understanding of the fundamentals and practical applications in these areas. 5. Logical Reasoning This section evaluates logical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Topics covered typically include: Verbal Reasoning: Analogies, classification, series, logical deductions. Non-verbal Reasoning: Pattern recognition, analogy, classification. 6. Computer Knowledge Basic knowledge of computers and their applications may be tested, including: Computer Fundamentals: Hardware, software, operating systems. MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Internet and Networking basics.
