Exam Syllabus

1. General Knowledge: This section assesses candidates' awareness of current events, both national and international, as well as their knowledge of history, geography, Indian polity, and socio-economic issues. Focus areas may include recent developments in technology, sports, awards, and honors, among others. 2. Quantitative Aptitude: Quantitative aptitude tests candidates' numerical ability and mathematical skills. Topics covered typically include arithmetic (such as percentage, ratio and proportion, average, time and work, etc.), algebra (basic equations, inequalities), geometry (basic shapes, area, and volume calculations), and data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables). 3. Reasoning Ability: This section evaluates candidates' logical and analytical reasoning skills. It includes topics like logical reasoning (deductive and inductive reasoning, seating arrangement, blood relations), analytical reasoning (syllogism, statement and conclusion, logical puzzles), and non-verbal reasoning (pattern recognition, series completion). 4. English Language: The English language section tests candidates' proficiency in the language. It may include comprehension passages, grammar (tenses, articles, prepositions, sentence correction), vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, word meanings), and basic writing skills. 5. Local Governance and Pourakarmika Responsibilities: Given the nature of the position, candidates may be tested on their knowledge of local governance structures, including municipal laws, regulations, and waste management practices specific to the BBMP jurisdiction. This may involve questions related to waste segregation, disposal methods, cleanliness drives, and the role of Pourakarmikas in maintaining civic hygiene.
